Hi, I’m Dr. Rae Teixeira

About ME

Thanks for stopping by! I am a Doctor of Optometry navigating the ups and downs of life and I am super passionate about keeping eye health and overall wellness simple and fun.

 

I am now located in Toronto, Ontario but I did my schooling in Chicago, and completed my Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry.

Through my experience in Chicago, I developed a special interest in myopia management, neuro-optometry, and deep-dish pizza.

Eye care is so much more than “1… or 2” and I am on a mission to shift the narrative. Vision is such a complex sense; the eyes take in information that is then processed by the brain allowing us to form our own perceptions of the world. The eyes are a window to the outside world but also let us see within.

 

I am passionate about helping others shift their focus to live in alignment with their vision. My goal is to provide digestible and relatable advice and education centred around overall wellness and eye health.
